Beltane
Even though it is a little belated, I figured I would also write a little bit about the Pagan Sabbats I celebrate, as they come up. Last Thursday (May 1) was Beltane. Beltane is a Sabbat that celebrates the fertility of the Earth. It is a time when the Lord and Lady come together (yes like THAT) and create new life. There is all sorts of symbolism and tradition associated with it, such as the Maypole and the crowning of the May King and May Queen, the Horned God and those infamous bonfires. It personally is one of my favorite holidays as it is a sublime celebration of life and love.
