Climategate

December 12, 2009 at 4:15 pm (Climate Change, environmental, global warming, political)

A few weeks ago, and unknown hacker broke into the British Climate Research Unit computer system at East Anglia University, since then in the Climate Debate circle there has been a massive uproar, with climate skeptics, such as those of ClimateDepot.com, pointing to the so-called incriminating statements in said emails as proof that global warming is a hoax. There have been many seemingly flawless statements made that these scientists tried to make other scientists who supposedly held a different viewpoints conform and that there was an attempt to hide the evidence of a decline in temperatures as indicated by tree-rings. But as it is usual in this case one need only go back to the source to find the truth. It always comes out; it’s merely a matter of time.

The people calling these series of emails “Climate gate” and proof that Global Warming is a lie, actually only succeed in proving their ignorance and single-mindedness. It is highly apparent, after reading these emails, that all of their statements made in regards to fraud, coercion and cooking the books are made with a complete lack of understanding of scientific process and terminology. For instance, terms such as forcing, plotting and schemes are made in direct reference to the hypothetical computer model, SCENGEN and MAGICC that are used to predict possible outcomes in climate scenarios based on current data, not the lay definition that would make them damning. These are terms used in working with data sets, not for nefarious behavior. The scenario generating computer models were not the basis of the science of Global Warming, but rather a tool at predicting our future, given we continue on the path we are on. The comments to withhold the SCENGEN data were made precisely for that reason; they were speculative models, not because they were trying to hide anything.

To the contrary of those purporting fraud, these scientists took great pains to ensure the actual data they presented to the public, to their peers and IPCC was factual and substantiated, and can be observed chastising each other in these emails to that end, the same emails that are supposed to be evidence of ridicule of those who held differing viewpoints. Obviously many of these climate nay-sayers have never been through either a masters or doctoral thesis, where one is harangued to the point of tears in some cases, but it is done to bring home the point that data must be accurate and substantiated. As a scientist, if you can not prove your hypotheses to be flawless and based on sound research, you are nothing. At least one of these so called “conformist efforts” was actually a rather steamed missive about how one of the scientists had included their personal opinion in something, as opposed to letting the facts speak for themselves. In science there is no room for ego or opinion, only fact, and that was the message of the email. It is the exact opposite of what some are trying to make it out to seem.

The now famous statement made about “hide the decline” refers to the tree ring data that is extensively covered in these emails, and if they were indeed trying to hide something, why did they publish a paper about it in Nature in 1997? Once again the statements are taken out of context and ignorant to scientific process, hide the decline refers to technical discussions of data handling techniques available in the peer reviewed literature, something that is quite common in scientific circles and nothing out of the ordinary. It had nothing to do with falsifying information as the discussion was in reference to the fact that the tree ring data of the last 50 years did not correlate with other data that did support the trend of Global warming. It also was made in reference again to the hypothetical climate scenario mapping computer programs, not deliberately misleading the public. These completely baseless claims made on the behalf of those purporting climate gate, are the true deception, for they are deliberately capitalizing on the fact that most will not take the time to read these emails, let alone understand them.

But let us dig deeper into this, and the circumstances under which these emails were obtained. The CRU’s computer system was hacked, these emails were stolen. Apparently one of the scientists involved in this, Dr. Weaver, had his office repeatedly broken into before this happened, proving that someone was trying to find something, anything, and was willing to go to illegal lengths to do so. This is shameful, but unfortunately a rather common tactic used in some circles in this country, and it is used because they know they are in the wrong when they play by the rules, and so instead try to circumvent them and then expect rational intelligent adults to look past the fact that they are criminals. They add to their list of sins not only greed and theft, but lying as in twisting the emails out of context, and passing off their regurgitations as fact, and now costing an innocent man his job, the researcher Phil Jones.

Billions of dirty energy dollars stand to be lost with carbon limits and that is the truth of why there is even a discussion about man made Climate Change possibly being a hoax. These people would put their own greed above the lives of their fellow human beings, above the lives of their families and children, and their grandchildren and great grandchildren yet to be born. Their selfishness is so overblown and caricatured that it would be laughable, if there weren‘t such high stakes involved. The really ridiculous part of all this is that they wouldn‘t even have to lose money necessarily, even though most of them have more money than any one man should need or want. There are plenty of green technologies to be invested in, plenty of money to be made in the new energy economy, if we really must always boil everything down to money. But these people are cowards, not only because of the tactics they will resort to in an effort to back up their shoddy claims of fraud and conspiracy, but for their unwillingness to change, when the truth is change is the only constant in the universe. They would sacrifice the lives of all their descendents, just to make a buck, and to not have to admit they are wrong. These are the death throes of Big Oil and Big Coal, the violent desperate attempts to cling to the old order, which is rotting in their hands. They shriek with the shrieks of the damned, as they begin to realize how doomed they really are.

These people who would perpetuate this nonsense know that as the climate talks in Copenhagen continue, their policies of destruction, of desecration, of greed are going to be outlawed. They know that with the grassroots organizing of groups like 350.org, the momentum is against them. Even Phil Jones made the point that “This may be a concerted attempt to put a question mark over the science of climate change in the run-up to the Copenhagen talks,“. The questions need to be asked, who broke into those computers, how did they do it, and the real question is who paid for it?

I would think the first possible answer to this would be to look at the people who are perpetuating the lie that these emails were incriminating. The conservative right would be the most likely candidate. The supposed balanced environmental discussion (balanced as in Fox news) that is ClimateDepot.com, would be the logical place to start. This site is run by an individual by the name of Marc Morano. Mr. Morano until spring of 2009 (which should be noted was the beginning of Obama’s term and the end of Bush’s) served as the communications director for the Republicans on the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works where he worked for Senator Inhofe, a man that is vehemently against Gay rights, has denied Global Warming all along, and whose major campaign contributors were large industries in the aircraft, defense and energy sectors. Which leaves the undeniable fact that this supposed balanced site is indeed run by the same Republican lackeys that are in bed with Big Oil and Big Coal. Mr. Morano is also the man behind the 2004 smear campaign done against Senator Kerry, run by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group later discredited, as many of the veterans who were a part of it would have never served with Kerry. Mr. Morano also was the producer for Rush Limbaugh show in the 1990’s.

To further the point one need only research the group behind ClimateDepot.com. It says at the top of the page that the site is run by CFACT, and one need only click on the link to go to the website of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, a conservative anti-environmentalism think tank. This non-profit with a 1.5 million dollar budget has received money from Exxon and Chevron. There is no balance here. Climate Depot is the one cooking the books, not the CRU scientists whose careers have been severely damaged if not ruined. I think if people really would like to investigate the crime here, they should look no further than whoever the thief was who hacked these emails, and the Republican dirt bags who funded him, and who would most profit from the very real threat of climate change being undermined, and who stand to lose the most if a meaningful climate change treaty were agreed to in Copenhagen.

There are plenty of flashy graphics, and catchy headlines, on ClimateDepot.com, but where is the evidence to back this up? Give us the names of these reputable scientists and groups, who they work for if there is such overwhelming scientific evidence against Global Warming, instead of opinion blogs and cartoons. The numbers are on the side that Climate Change is real, and that they coincide with the Industrial Age, as those emails you try to hold up as proof of conspiracy actually show the very real evidence of alteration of climate since 1850 as proven by those infamous tree rings, and even though the data falls off in the mid 20th century, the very next sentence states that the basal area of young trees explodes. But forget the tree rings; there are plenty of other sources from which to glean an understanding of the issue of Global Warming. There are data tables from the National Snow and Ice Data Center, the University of Illinois, NASA, and NOAA. Are you going to discredit them as well?

Fundamentally, Climate Change is not about numbers or abstract thesis by whomever; the heart of the movement is an effort to address the rampant exploitation and sullying of the world by unchecked greed and the corporate sector. One does not need numbers to know that something is wrong, when all a person has to do is look at the fact rivers are so polluted in this country that you cannot eat the fish out of them or drink out of them, and in some cases you can’t even set foot in them. One does not need numbers to understand that the environment is pushed to it’s limit as urban sprawl dominates the landscape and a tree is a difficult thing to find in most major cities. A person needs only go outside and feel the unseasonable warm temperatures in October and November, or look at the aftermath of a mine. It doesn’t matter which way you look at it, it’s real.

But truth of the matter is that to people that would stoop so low as to steal private correspondence and then twist it to their own advantage, it doesn’t matter what anyone says. It is all about agenda, and money. Truth is no matter how much fact is staring them in the face, they will refuse to acknowledge it. These people would rather cast their lot with what will destroy them, than make the change of heart that sets their priorities straight. They only care about money, and will destroy and enslave anyone in their single-minded pursuit of same. Their “facts” are based off of coincidence, flawed assumptions and outright lies, a stark and disturbing contrast to the years of climate research done by trained and highly educated scientists, bound to the burden of truth their discipline requires. These conservative tactics are unsubstantiated, shameful, exploitative (if not illegal) and deliberately foment ignorance and injustice. They, and those they serve, are the real scandal.  I encourage all rational intelligent adults the follow the link below and read these emails in their entirety, beginning to end.  Using the search engine won’t  give you the full picture, you need to read them from the beginning.

Letter to the President

November 24, 2009 at 1:51 am (Science, environmental, medicine, political)

November 23, 2009

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing you today at the behest of 350.org, but also because I personally feel there are many things that need to be said. I could expound upon Climate change, and emphasize the fact that 350 parts per million is the upper limit of carbon emissions that our planet can handle, but I would only be repeating the probably thousands of other emails and letters you have received. The issue of the disparaging state of our planet is an issue that is many faceted, and like the Earth it is an interconnected web, a fundamental unity behind seeming separateness. Even if the best happens at Copenhagen this year, and a meaningful treaty is agreed to, there still needs to be a fundamental reorganization of how we live and do business. We need to understand the many dimensions of this problem, and like a cancer destroy it at the root; otherwise it will continue to reappear. So allow me to share my personal knowledge, perspective and suggestions in regards to the environment.

Looking at the problem of the Climate as indeed a cancer does raise the question, of what really is the fundamental problem. The answer lies in the most basic facet of being human, food and water. The truth is that our world is the way it is because of what we do to our bodies, as by our thoughts and emotions we create our world. If we heal ourselves, we will heal the Earth. The common western diet that is rich in meat and refined grains, in addition to the ridiculous amounts of overly powerful and unnecessary prescriptions, completely ignores the concept of balance between yang warming food and yin cooling food, and as such this imbalance is reflected in the natural world. Such consumption of primarily warming foods, and the chemicals/additives present in most of it, serves to overheat people’s livers, the same organ system that in Oriental Medicine is the root of anger, of arrogance and an egocentric personality. It directly leads to the greedy and materially obsessed mindset shown by many in this country that is killing our planet. By this common overheated personality our world reflects the same imbalance, becoming warmer by the day. There is no question in my mind that the rampages and absurd self-serving mentalities we are seeing these days are a direct result of people being fundamentally debased by the twisted food they are eating. These people are sick, in the most basic physical way.

The place to begin to solve this problem is to remove the ridiculous subsidies that are in place in our agricultural system now. Instead of commodity crops, we need to support bio-diversity. Instead of large corporations like Cargill and Monsanto, we need to support the local organic farmer. As the system is set up right now, we are wasting tremendous amounts of bio-mass and energy. Not only are we poisoning the earth with run off from factory farms and oil based fertilizers, but we are poisoning ourselves with food that is so processed and defiled, it scarcely resembles the plant from which it was derived. I ask you to subsidize local food production, as in small and community based organic agriculture, not greed and environmental destruction. Local food production also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, as food is no longer being shipped over hundreds of miles. That is in addition to the fact that in organic farming there is no more runoff. Manure from grass-fed, free range livestock then serves as fertilizer, in addition to compost. Petroleum based fertilizer and the machines required for the current large scale agricultural operations are no longer needed. Approximately 20% of greenhouse gas emissions come from commercial food production. This is an extremely simple change that would have incalculable positive ramifications for our society and the planet.

Gandhi was once quoted as saying “the greatness of a nation, and it’s moral progress can be judged by the way in which it’s animals are treated”. The living death that most commercial livestock are consigned to desperately needs to change. Raising animals that never see the light of day, are genetically altered to promote faster (unsustainable) growth, and live covered in their own filth and tripping over their own dead because they are packed in pens like sardines is a fundamental corruption of who we are as individuals and as a society. It applies to mega dairy farms as well. What we are doing to the animals of this country is downright evil. There is no need for this industrialized death, there were more bison naturally produced on the Great Plains than all the beef farms in the area now. It is imperative that you start subsidizing free-range, grass fed livestock, and implement programs that boost the habitat and numbers of natural game animals, respecting the natural order of things (stop poisoning predators with Compound 1080 and Sodium Cyanide) so people may hunt for their own food, thereby honoring the creatures we eat for food with at least a fighting chance.

All of this suffering and death manifests, and this is the truth of why people are getting so sick. Agricultural and nutritional reform is the true healthcare reform. The perversion that is our modern food supply, whether it is plant or animal manifests in the mind, and interferes with clarity of thought and physical health. Educate people that by an unadulterated whole food diet and less-stressful lifestyle they need to go to the doctor fewer times, for less severe problems. Put the proverbial sock in Big Pharma’s and Big Ag’s mouth and get out the truth by whatever means necessary that there is a very simple solution to peoples health problems, what they are eating. Decentralize the system. Encourage small agricultural operations and businesses, tip the scales in favor of small restaurants that serve healthy wholesome meals by monetary incentives, and throw the book at fast food.

The other most fundamental aspect of human incarnation, and as a result the climate issue, is water. You can not drink the water in any river in this country and as a result most are forced to drink tap water that among other things has chlorine in it, a substance that breaks up Vitamin E and as a result leads to diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s which are caused by Vitamin E deficiency. Choking our already polluted waterways with dams is inhibiting the water cycle from naturally rinsing CO2 out of the atmosphere. So not only do dams prevent waterways from naturally cleansing themselves through aeration, preventing the choking algae blooms that locally killed off half the fish where I live this past year, but also in allowing the Earth a greater chance of cleaning up the mess we are making of Her.

As revolutionary as the idea must seem I feel it is imperative to our survival that not only do we put extremely strict limits on pollutants in waterways, if not eradicate them entirely, but we open the dams in this country. It requires a lot of reorganization, but if we can use things like Eminent Domain to take away people’s land to build unnecessary high-voltage transmission lines, as American Transmission Company did in my area a few years ago, a corporation I might add that is investor owned, we can take the necessary steps to evacuate people out of the path of the draw down of these dams and do something that actually is in the spirit that Eminent Domain was conceived, an action for the greater good of society. This trend of choking and inhibiting water from cleansing itself needs to be reversed.

Part of what is polluting the waterways is paper mills. The large scale logging going on in this country needs to stop now. The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, or as it is more commonly referred to around here, the Northwoods, is the most heavily harvested forest in the country. It is logged at a rate of 116 million board feet per year, and at the current rate it will be gone in 45 years. This must stop. This priceless resource breathes the CO2 out of our air. A new way is not impossible, but it does require that we cease to support multinational corporations that exploit people and land. It requires that we take back possession of our local resources and stop logging for profit. With the removal of exploitation and corporate harvesting of non-renewable resources, this blight would cease. We need to stop the trend of deforestation, and an idea of the Civilian Conservation Corps should be revisited. People would be provided much needed jobs replanting trees and restoring the environment. I implore you to legalize hemp as well, as not only are there the medicinal, spiritual and anti-psychotic properties of this plant, but it serves a viable and renewable alternative to timber in the production of paper. I ask you to make all of this a reality.

With large scale industrial operations, comes the problem of how to power all this destruction. I obtained a copy of the World Health Organizations 1984 study on the effects of electrical fields on both humans and animals. There is a documented rise in cancer including leukemia, rise in stress triglycerides, interference in pineal gland functioning, the same gland that rules estrus and sleep cycles, and as a result there was a 20% increase in nocturnal activity around electrical fields. The implications of cancer are obvious even if they are being ignored, but rise in stress can be linked to people snapping as we have been seeing these days. An increase in nocturnal activity, i.e. insomnia and sleep disturbances can be linked to skyrocketing rates of depression, manic depression and schizophrenia. Look around us, we are immersed in a bath of electricity everywhere we go in this so-called Digital Age.

Large centralized power companies are horrifically inefficient, and it is they and large industries they serve that are the real polluters. So much emphasis is placed on the individual when really the problem lies with the corporate, centralized system. Over half of power generated at large power plants is lost right of the bat. That means that half of the mercury pollution from these plants is completely unnecessary. High-voltage transmission lines lose a great deal of the power they carry as well so that in the end, the power that actually gets used is a quarter of what is generated. This doesn’t even begin to cover the ionization that goes on as well, making more Ozone. CFL light bulbs not only are putting a band aid on a mortal wound, but they are made with vaporized mercury. We are already being poisoned by mercury in the fish, in the water, in our vaccines, but now we’re going to bring it directly into our homes and it won’t even be a choice anymore because incandescent will be illegal soon? How on earth is this preserving individual freedom and sound public policy?

The real solution is to stop electricity from being a corporate run utility and make it a locally run cooperative. There are several such models in Wisconsin alone. Provide more programs like NCAP to aid people in weatherizing and making their homes more energy efficient. Provide government subsidies for homeowners to purchase solar power. With a decentralized grid, there is far less waste, in addition to the fact that power outages would be much more isolated and smaller. TV and radio need to be taken out of corporate hands and decentralized as well. In addition electricity needs to be a choice, not a mandated requirement as it is in my town. When a person can’t even afford to feed their family, governments are going to demand people pay for profit corporations for a service that truth be told is not necessary to our survival but more over is actually a detriment to our health and well being?

The answer here is not more electricity as Big Coal and Big Oil would have us believe, but less. We are all going to die if we continue the trend we are on, and it isn’t so much from Climate Change as it is from so much radiation. We are the cat in the microwave at this point, to put it bluntly. Background radiation on the planet is rising. Nuclear power should be banned as well, as the waste is radioactive for centuries, more radiation with the possibility of another Chernobyl or Three Mile Island to boot. You need to educate people as to what all this technology really does. Use the demon for it’s own destruction. Put it all over the news, make sure every man woman and child knows, in terms they can understand the dangers of radiation from exposure to even household electrical fields.

You are the leader of the “free” world. By appearances you have the most power of all, but in that I am reminded of the game of chess, where the king has little more movement than his pawns. You must remember it is the Earth that grants you dominion. For the land provided the wealth that greased the wheels of your campaign. At Copenhagen this year, you need to do the right thing. You need to take the necessary steps to save the planet, no matter what. If other nations refuse to sign on or negotiate well then I encourage you to continue leading by example as you already have. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. If my suggestions seem unobtainable well then I challenge you to contemplate that phrase more deeply, for our lives are measured not in how much we make or our social position, but in what we did with the time we were given, and whether we chose to serve ourselves, or the rest of humanity and thereby God.

Sincerely,

Debra Weiss

Update to H1N1

November 3, 2009 at 10:12 pm (medicine, political)

H1N1

There is more news regarding the H1N1 vaccine and it’s not good.  Here, from guest blogger Mary E., are the details.

A week or so ago, it was announced that there was an “unexpected” shortage of the vaccine for H1N1 and that it would be weeks before any additional vaccine would be available for anyone.  Suddenly, this week, shipments of the vaccine are being received, well ahead of the previously announced lack of availability.  I am not surprised.  Last week I learned, from trusted medical personnel awaiting shipments of the vaccine, that in order to make more vaccine available sooner, the makers of the vaccine are diluting it with additional amounts of thimerosal (mercury).

For those of you who don’t already know, thimerosal (mercury) is a deadly poison and a major cause of Autism.  The pharmaceutical industry has acknowledged placing this “preservative” in all flu vaccines (seasonal as well as the H1N1) because so many people are now aware that this is being done.  Note: you can get a seasonal flu vaccine minus the thimerosal (mercury) if you ask for it but I don’t know if this applies to the H1N1.

People in general have become concerned and anxious about the lack of available H1N1 vaccine and news of people dying after becoming ill with this flu, many of them children, hasn’t helped.  You get the idea that many without thinking will rush to get whatever is available as soon as it shows up and may wonder if the shortage was artificial to that end.  We’ve also been informed that children should be getting not one but two vaccinations!  Now back comes the H1N1 vaccine albeit in a more deadly form than the original.  No matter whether children or adults get one or two vaccines, they will be getting a lot more thimerosal (mercury).

As a parent and as an individual contemplating these vaccinations, you may want to carefully consider what’s going on here.  Fortunately, there appears to be an option.  The nasal spray version of the H1N1 apparently has no preservative, including thimerosal (mercury), in it.  Whether or not there will be enough of that to go around, I do not know.  In any case, pharmaceutical companies are required to list all of the ingredients of their products on the package label and you, as a patient and/or parent, have the right to check labels of all medications you receive.  If you are refused this right, beware.

Note: As far as children and others who are becoming very ill with the H1N1, we also need to learn how they are being treated.  Since the H1N1 is known to attack the lungs, the question is, are these patients being treated with Penicillin, the drug of choice for pneumonia.  I know about this first hand since my husband has had several bouts of pneumonia over the years.

The never-given Wausau Speech

October 28, 2009 at 3:53 pm (environmental, magic, metaphysics, philosophy, political, shamanism)

Samhain

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.

-Buddha

There is justice, even though there may be conflict.

Nature is balance. Its as much about expansive heat, it is also about contracting cold. For as much as you wake up everyday you must also sleep. If you take something, you must give something in return-This is the spirit of Halloween, in ancient Celtic lore it was the one night of the year where the veils between the world of the living and the dead were the thinnest, and the unwary could find themselves taken to an early grave by a disgruntled spirit, The witching hour, midnight on October 31st. You can hear it in the howl of the wind. Some may call it coincidence, but in the next week listen to the wind and the noises of Wausau at night as it gets closer to Halloween, without knowing what those noises are. Tell me that you don’t hear something sinister in them. As sure at it is you will hear the ghosts in the wind, it is also not that long ago that we where at the height summer after another long hard winter had passed. So even though as the world around us comes to absolute stillness, In a few months we will be rejoicing at the coming of spring. As Nature slows down for the mind clarifying cold, it also holds the promise of rebirth.

This concept of Nature as balance between the forces of action and receptivity is too often over looked when it applies to the body and internal organs. The physical form is a delicate equilibrium as well and it’s easier to go with the flow of nature than against it. This is why I provided the sheets on seasonal attunement and I recommend the book listed therein quite highly.

If the body affects the mind then it follows that what affects the body will also affect the mind. Not repecting the concepts of heat/cold as two separate opposite distinct things, equal in power and worth, manifests in the mind. The road goes two ways though, one also can manifest what the mind thinks in the material and that it what Buddha spoke of. By our thoughts we create the world. The fact that we literally are what we eat, has to be paid attention to, because if we consume animals that never really lived, more so that creature had a living death, that suffering will meld with our mind. It will affect our perception for the worst, and that in turn will affect the rest of the universe.

I have noticed over the years that many people literally have to have something making noise at all times, a TV, radio, phone what have you, never absolute silence. I wonder if this is due to most people’s internal monologes being out of control. Random thoughts that just pop in unbidden and are unwelcome. I challenge those of you with whom these words may hit the mark with, to start listening to what is said in silence. For this is the introspection and meditation appropriate for this time of year. People are so consumed with getting ahead that they do not listen to and take care of themselves, and their world around them suffers. There is a way to be able to survive without having to work ourselves into an early grave. It may involve the sacrifice of that extra car or tv, but frankly those things aren’t really doing anybody any good anyway. It is to the peace of love and family we should cling, and do only what is necessary to support that.

If we as a town were to do that, and instead focus on what is real, justice as opposed to conflict, temperance instead of gluttony, action instead of grief, live a life hopefully not too removed from the land, what effect would that have on the rest of the world? Make the changes necessary to clean up the river, stop the land grab that’s going on in the northwoods, and then what could we do?

But the key to all this whole picture is local. There is conflict in Wausau, and anybody who has an ear to the ground can hear it. Why is this conflict? Because people’s sense of justice has been impinged upon. If justice were being served, there would be peace. I applaude the actions of the council in setting aside money for homeowners to fix up their house a little. There needs to be money put towards making Wausau and central Wisconsin more independent, self sufficient and sustainable as well. I truly feel our survival depends upon it. I do not know what will happen in the future but looking at the threads of it forming now, I can see both humanity finally getting it’s act together, but also everything falling apart. I can see the same threads in Wausau as well.

We are all connected, and it is very possible for an individual to effect the rest of humanity, if not likely. Given the person is solid enough, and solid means not only strength, but lack of faults, the greater the integrity the more the effect. If an individual has the power of Truth behind them they are unstoppable. This doesn’t even begin to cover what happens when people come togther as a group. People united in purpose, if only for a minute, can do miraculous things. Never believe it is too far gone or too difficult. The odds are too insurmountable. There may be 99% chance something might happen, but there still the 1% chance that it won’t So strive to be the person you want to be, instead of the person you think you have to be. Because odds are when you do that, you will change the world.

Today their will be approximately 4000 other events, in 170 countries, and their purpose is to send a clear message to President Obama about the environment and the rate at which our air is being polluted. President Obama meets with other members of the United Nations in Copenhagen Denmark this year, and there is a major climate treaty on the table. As it is currently it is pretty weak, and the purpose of these rallies to day is to tell world leaders it is 350 ppm CO2 that is the upper limit of what the climate can take. I frankly think that number should be even less, and that a fundamental shift needs to occur, not one as superficial as a number, however it is a very definite step in the right direction, and an inertial shift from the policies of the last administration. Today is a most definitely an auspicious day, globally people all around the world are coming together to send a clear unified message. When was the last time that happened?

I tell you truly though continue to live in peace and share. When we turn away from the needs of others, we refuse to acknowledge our own. When we turn away the downtrodden, later on down the line we may find our selves in the same position. There but for the grace of God go I.

Pay attention to how you feel, both physically and emotionally for these primal urges and voices are there for a reason, so that the mind can do something about it when the body is slowly being poisoned. If it is not food you either grew yourself, bought from a farmer’s market, bought at a local store tied to a farm, you probably shouldn’t eat it. If your water hasn’t been filtered either by natural means (springs) or artificial no chlorine, sodium or flouride, you are still polluting yourself, If you find yourself driving all over kingdom come to get everything you need, you probably think you need to much. Not only are you poisoning yourself, but your poisoning all the other inhabitants who dwell here in this area and on the planet. There is a very simple way to live, and it involved centering your life around love and bliss, and making everything else take second.

Above all respect the Earth, whether you recognize it or not, you are one with her. Be in tune with the land, she will survive. If you honor her and live according to the laws of nature, you will find that you survive as well. Grow a garden, Love. Nature will teach you and provide you with everything you need

The Lie of H1N1/Swine Flu

swastika

One of the initial posts on my blog was titled “Influenza”, and it was in response to going to the White House website, and discovering they had a plan for pandemic flu, and containment of it etc.  This was almost three years ago.  Three years ago they had a plan for this.  Tell me, how did they know?  How could one predict such a thing unless they had been planning it all along?  Unless they were indeed responsible for it and engineered it themselves.  If you doubt me I welcome you to go to the beginning of my blog in March of 2007 and read the post yourself.  I have done extensive research on vaccines, and things like AIDS, and what I have come back with is that AIDS was engineered by our own government, and vaccines are them trying to kill us.  The possibility of Autism from the either the vaccines themselves or the thimerisol in them, a form of mercury that is retained by the brain twice as long as the mercury in fish.  The rampant ear infections(a sign of immune deficiency) and the mysterious sicknesses and fevers of children.  Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  Any parent knows the ridiculous amount of vaccines administered to children, and the sickness that inevitably results.  It is the same for animals, after being administered their vaccines.  This is not some abstract hypothesis on my part, this is direct empirical knowledge I have gained through my own experience.  Vaccines and those who push them are evil.

You may think I’m nuts, but what better way to deal with overpopulation if you treat humans only as numbers?  Or perhaps more to the point how much money is being made by the pharmacuetical companies from this mass vaccination alone?  How much money do they make from the treatment of Autism and Gullian-Barre syndrome that vaccines have been shown to cause.  How much does the insurance industry profit from people insuring themselves against these engineered epidemics.  I suppose it is no surprise then the violent response to healthcare reform.  They do not heal, and they deliberately make people sick because it is profitable to keep people ill.  Vaccines do not prevent anything.  They invoke an immune response, but building antibodies does not say that if you are infected your body will be able to manufacture them fast enough to stave off sickness.  Actually vaccines up the chance of infection, because they temporarily overload your immune system allowing any virus a greater chance of taking over, they take away a little of the “fuel” of your immune system (Ying, life essence in oriental medicine, is what fuels the immune system, and you only have a limited amount), and in the case of the nasal swine flu vaccine, your snorting live swine flu virus.  Tell me, how the hell is snorting the live virus supposed to prevent infection.  You’d have better odds of not contracting it if you french kissed an infected person.  I said it before in my post “Fundamental Flaws in the Western Approach to Healing” that vaccines are capriciously spending a most precious reserve.  They are an abomination, injecting a hideously impure substance directly into the bloodstream and immune system, thereby subverting all natural defenses.

But there is more to this story, as there always is.  The roots of this go back at least 60 years.  Think about it people, we had huge “advancements” in medical science and technology after WWII.  Why would that be?  Oh maybe because we conquered the Nazis and as we overtook the concentration camps, we discovered the notes of the monsters like Joseph Mengela that performed horrific experiments on human beings en masse.  Make no mistake, if these discoveries were made at the expense of victims of the Holocaust, they are cursed, and they will do nothing but destroy those foolish or uncaring enough to partake of them.  Vaccines and sulfonamide antibiotics  (think sulfa drugs) were some  of these “advances”.  Now vaccines were nothing new in the 40’s, but they were highly fatal or ineffective.  The modern vaccines that we have now, for measles, for diptheria, whooping cough and polio, all emerged in the 50’s, after the research from the concentration camps would have emerged, research done on the malaria vaccine.  Just like microwaves and color TVs emerged in the warped decade of the 50’s.  Coincidence?  I think not.

So as I sit here tonight and the first doses of the H1N1 vaccine are arriving and being administered to pregnant women and children I am horrified.  Like lambs to the slaughter we are sacrificing our most innocent and precious in the name of what?  It certainly isnt healing, that is for sure.  No we are sacrificing them to our own ignorance and cowardice.  Our ignorance, that instead of living lives deliberately and thoughtfully, we commit our intelligence and power into the hands of monsters, and our cowardice that on some level we know the truth, and instead we chose to ignore it lest it shatter our illusion of stability.  Tell me people, how bad does it have to get before you all wake up?

My dismay

February 20, 2009 at 6:20 am (philosophy, political)

apathy

I sit here on this Thursday evening, troubled.  I have many thoughts travelling through my mind, kind of a chaotic jumble, as I sit like a vegetable on the couch, wrapped in a blanket that isn’t mine.  I’m sitting at my son’s father’s house, where I have sat very similarly every night, for the last three weeks.  Why, because I am homeless.  I sit in clothes that i have worn for the last two weeks, and my waist long hair is in a messy loose bun, because it is the only way to protect it, as it gets further and further knotted and dreaded, because I have no comb to comb it with.  Some would classify that as too much information, but to me it is the brutal truth, the candid honesty that is all too often missing in this life, replaced with a veil of secrets and lies, and we all wonder why the misery gets worse as we get older.  Wisdom a common child has, but us rotting decayed adults have forgotten along with Joy and Trust.

I have many things to be troubled about these days.  I broke up with my boyfriend of two years, who I am currently 4 months pregnant by, and he has no interest in helping me, he’s is only concerned about himself at this point.   I quit my job, only to lose the next one I had lined up because I became ill.  I lost my home, because I lost my job.  In the span of a month, my car, my phone and my computer all broke beyond repair.  I traded in my car that I couldn’t afford to fix for an RV, which has broken down more sinced i took over ownership of it than it has worked.  I didn’t get paid for a month.  I tried to stay at the Pagan retreat I am a member of, being initially told I could stay there for up to six weeks and then they turn around and tell me no, I can stay only a week, and I get accused of using them.  My own family save my sister will not take me in because of my son and my three cats.   So here I sit, wrapped in the blanket that isn’t mine, isolated by my own thoughts.

There is so much that has happened in the last four months, I couldn’t possibly get it all out here, or anywhere else for that matter.   But as I sit, dumbfounded, something has occured to me, and it is enough to get me out of my stupor and write something halfway meaningful for the first time in a very long time.  See I have been writing, but not because I have wanted to, and I am sure that it shows.  I look back on the entries i did in 2007 and everything since pales in comparison.  So what is my epiphany, that cuts through the murky mire that is my conciousness of late?  Fellowship.

You see I am a person that has been moved around alot, just about every friendship I have ever had I have watched die, and after a while you get to a point where you lose the ability to be a friend, or make new ones or even know what is missing from your life.  But even I can see something greviously wrong with the world around me, yes I have been treated appalingly in the last few months, but it didn’t dawn on me until I sat here today and watched one of my son’s father’s roommates move out because he’s sick of being taken advantage of.  I question that.  I know that on a few occasions, he has had to pay someone elses portion of the rent(there are four bachelors living in this house), but it really strikes me that he is abandoning his friends when they need him the most, and it triggered a chain reaction in my befuddled mind and what came out is that everyone is doing this right now.

I have seen in the last few months things, that have nothing to do with me, that truly speak to me that the world is coming unravelled.  It’s little things like watching assinine commercials for Lexus’ or the like, when most people are so poor their lucky if they even have a car.  The sheer absurdity of watching the dismal economic news on CNN, and then going to commercial and seeing ads that are so out of touch with what’s going on in this country is insane, literally.  I get so lost in my everyday life, and think that everything that happens is my fault that sometimes I completely fail to see the big picture, and that what is going on in my life isn’t just me, it’s everybody.  Fellowship is another one of those things.  I have been being rebuked by everyone around me,a nd I take it personally thinking that maybe I deserve it, but the truth of it is, no, it is a sign of the times.  As things get worse, people start to hoard and stockpile what they can, and cut off any excess burden, lest it drag them down too.  But my friends that is the worst possible approach, and it must stop if we as a nation, or as a world are going to survive.  We got in this mess because we stopped working together with our neighbors and our communities, and put our power in the hands of people that wanted it only for that end, their own aggrandisment and greed, and they left us with nothing.  And now when we stand at a very crucial moment in our history as a nation and in the history of the world, what have we learned?  To isolate ourselves even more, to hide behind our TV’s and SUV”s and computers (I realize that may sound hypocritical, but I do get out, I do try to have human contact, it’s kind of hard when everybody else is still hiding, asleep), and cut off like a gangrenous arm anyone who asks for help.  Sure it’s just fine to stick a few dollars in the salvation army kettle at christmas, and pat yourself on the back for a good deed done, but then not even a month later turn your back on the homeless, hungry, downtrodden, neighbor, friend, relative, or even worse child that crosses your path in real life.  Tell me, how does it feel, knowing you survived, when you think of those you had to turn away to do so.  Kind of a hollow victory isn’t it?

Of course not everybody is like that, but out of all the people that I know, two were willing to help, and I know a lot of people.   What particularly stings is the treatment I recieved from the pagan retreat I mentioned earlier, my church, and a place where one is supposed to find sanctuary.  A place that prides itself on being community minded, and they cut me off, a member of their community.  The shame of it is appalling.  If we are to overcome the obstacles we face, we must change.  We must learn to work together again, and to understand that a community is only as strong as it’s weakest member, and the solution is not to cut off the weak individual, but to heal them.  To help them be able to stand on their own again.  Blame and judgement are two of the most worthless concepts in all of humanity, and in truth they bely weakness on the part of those who would blame and judge, they are the ones who are sick, not the ones who have stumbled.  For we all stumble from time to time, and he who has wisdom knows this.  I humbly pray that we learn these lessons, and those who read this heed my words, for even though I will be fine, I will survive, there are those who will not be so fortunate as I.

Update to Mining/Rib Mountain

January 17, 2009 at 9:16 pm (Science, environmental, metaphysics, political)

rib

There’s one little tidbit of information that I stumbled across of late, and true to the form of the U.S. government, I have not been able to find any  corroborating evidence.  But I know that it is true because several people have confirmed it for me.  Apparently Rib Mountain used to be host to a uranium mine.  It’s been closed for many years now, but apparently the entrance lies close to the Queen’s chair in the state park section of it.  I know of the quarries on the mountain, but I did not know of this.

All I have to say is more attention needs to be paid to the stuff that is done to the mountain.  It’s bad enough it’s got a gigantic radio transmitter on top of it, but apparently it’s been violated for the sake of the abomination that is the nuclear program of this country.  And for all you stupid zealots out there that are actually arrogant enough to think that nuclear weapons are a good thing I have only this to say, why don’t you round yourselves up and find out what is like to be blown up in nuclear fire first hand?  You’d be doing the rest of us a big favor.

Rib Mountain is made of Quartzite, a mineral that magnifies any energy put into it.  What has been done to the mountain is magnified by a 1000.  I don’t know how many times I have to say it, but what we are doing is being reflected back on us, we’re only poisoning ourselves.  I go up to the quarry on Rib Mountain and just look at what was done.  It’s nuts.  I have the idea of carving the rocks into something, likes Rameses’ Abu Simbel, something to atone for what was taken out of that mountain.  Come on people, can’t we think about something greater than ourselves or money for once?  I can only hope.

Repent and ye shall be saved!!!

Okay, so I have thought about the post I wrote last year about “solutions to the problems” a lot.  When I wrote it I thought I had made it clear enough that I had meant tribal kings  with a place for anarchy and that I was not talking about revisting the old outdated monarchies of Europe.  Apparently I have not clarified that enough and it saddens me because I feel it has overshadowed the entire post about other solutions that are indisputably good ones.  I have gotten more feedback about that post than any other and it has been negative.  I realize that such an idea could be considered unpatriotic at best, but you are talking to a person who not only was born on the fourth of July, but also has an Uncle Sam (I’m not kidding).  Patriotism is something that has been imbued in every fiber of my being since birth and fundamentally that is why I started writing this.   Because I love my country, I started writing about the things I have seen threatening it.  As to my thoughts on government I do not agree with the system we have in place.  But that does not make me a traitor.  Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism.  I would die to defend my neighbors and fellow countrymen, and it is hurtful to know that people think less of me and my ideas because they are so different.  Therefore, I am separating the post in question.  I am omitting any mention of government and will be creating a separate post devoted to that subject after I finish the magical series I am working on, because it does tie into it.  It has over shadowed the entire blog, things that definately should not be missed.  You will also note that I finally finished the mining section.   Anyway I made a mistake putting a revolutionary idea like that in the way that I did.  I am not talking about really anything that has even been seen before and it was stupid of me to slip it in like that to let people’s preconcieved notions run rampant.  So it back to the drawing board for me:)

Misleading the sheeple, once again

December 5, 2007 at 1:11 am (environmental, political)

hippie.jpg

So something else I have noticed lately.  The powers that be I guess are trying to discourage any more people from liberating themselves from the herd.  I was talking to my father about the fact that I really don’t see any hippys down here in Madison any more.  The place used to be lousy with them a few years ago (I can say that because I consider myself to be one).  My dad said that he just read an article saying the “neo-hippy” movement was dead.   I don’t know what publication it was but it apparently said that everybody decided to get real and get jobs or whatever.  My take on that considering in Wausau I know plenty of “hippies” is that it’s some sort of media blitz to discredit us and discourage people from joining the ranks if you will.  Then the other day I was reading my latest issue of Smithsonian and it was talking about the fact that biofuels may be all fluff because of the fact that people haven’t taken into account that the corn that is used to make ethanol, used to be feeding people and it’s making the price of corn rise which will ripple throught the economy.  I have never been on board with ethanol for the reason that it is one more load on already overloaded and mismanaged farm land (see my post “Wisdom in food choices”.  But they neglected to mention much if anything at all about biodiesel which is made from waste fryer oil, leaving the reader with the impression that the whole idea of biofuels is a bad idea.  Again misleading people.  Finally as I write this I am reminded of something I saw in the Wausau City Pages probably about a year ago now.  It was a front page headline saying “Is renewable energy really a solution” or something like that.  But when you turned the page that it was listed as being on, no article.  Nowhere in the paper was that article.  So people as they walk by had that thought put in their head.  I am deeply angry at this trend I am seeing and it shows to me just how deeply imbedded in our media big oil and energy are.  Doubt unfortunately is a powerful thing, and they are using it to undermine the visionaries and ideas that are going to solve the problems of our age.  Make no mistake renewable energy and biofuels are a solution, maybe not the entire one, but a piece of the puzzle none the less.  The rest of the solution is burning these greedy corporate executives at the stake, in a fire fueled by their beloved oil.

There is no such thing as coincidence

October 31, 2007 at 1:16 am (environmental, political)

phoenix.jpg

So I moved to madison, kind of a bizarre twist on things at the last second, but it seems there is a fate behind it.  All the things I have written about in the last year, I am now witnessing first hand the root of it all.  I do not know what I am going to to do yet, but you better believe I will not sit idly by as my beloved land gets pieced up and destroyed.   I have two things for you to ponder that sum up what is going on down here the best.  The first is Piason’s.  Those of you that know anything about Madison will know what I am talking about but for those of you that don’t it is a very old restuarant near state street, near the UW.  My father went to it when he went to school here in 1952.  It had an amazing atmosphere, very queit very cozy and intimate, with latticework booths and hardwoods floors.  The university tore it down two years ago.  They now opened an ultra ritzy Piason’s a few blocks away.  A large chunk of the UW’s soul was detroyed with that building, because Piason’s wasn’t known for it’s food, but for it’s history and atmosphere.  The other thing for you to reflect on is Freakfest/State street.  The place was shut down with cops for freakfest this weekend.  A few years ago a riot broke out and things turned nasty.  Well the place went on complete lockdown this year. There were cops and private security guys everywhere.  State street, on of the last bastions of free, progressive, dare I say hippy thought, shut down and swarming with cops.  What was the real reason that riot broke out?  Wisconsin has one of the best and respected university systems in the country, and state government has been selling it out, forcing it to cut back on itself.  Madison is losing it’s soul.  So that’s why I was brought down here.  I guess it is time to start kicking some corporate lobby ass.
